What exactly is LG Optimus Black

Actually, the LG Optimus (LG GT540), previously known as LG GT540 Swift, is a low-end smartphone manufactured by LG Electronics. The Optimus runs the 1.6 version of Android but was recently updated to Android 2.1 Eclair. It was designed for first time smartphone users which its slogan “Optimal performance for first time smartphone users” says. The phone provides four colours which are black, white, pink and silver. It was announced on April 27, 2010. It is now available worldwide. An official LG GT540 Android 2.1 (Eclair) update was released on 30th September 2010 for phones in the Baltic Region.. LG promises, Optimus Black later can easily be upgraded to the 2.3 Android aka Gingerbread. This handset would be marketed in various parts of the world in the first half of 2011.
