Encrypt Tablet feature in Motorola Xooms

Motorola Xoom have a worthed feature embeded in the HoneycombAndroid 3.0 OS. This feature called Encrypt Tablet functioning to protect all your personal data with a password or PIN securely.

Although the Google denied that the feature is not exclusive to the Motorola, it may also be utilized by other tablet vendors. Further information Google push the API that lets you enforce policy restrictions upon your peons as far as encryption is concerned.

You can encrypt your accounts, settings, downloaded application and their data, media, and other files. Once you encrypt your tablet, you must enter a numeric PIN or pasword to decrypt it each time you power it on; you can’t unencrypt your tablet except by performing a factory data reset, erasing all your data.

Encryption takes an hour or more. You must start with a charged battery and keep your tablet plugged in until encryption is complete. If you interupt the encryption process, you will lose some or all of your data.
