Roy Oswalt leaves the Philadelphia Phillies for family reasons

Roy Oswalt, a pitcher of the Philadelphia Phillies, decided to take a leave of absence from his team because of family reasons. It was submitted by one of the Philadelphia Phillies official.

Roy Oswalt, 33, reportedly will take care of his families who are affected by tornadoes in Mississippi. This is justified by the general manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, Ruben Amaro Jr. “There has been a tremendous amount of tornado activity near Roy’s home in Mississippi resulting in several tragic deaths and significant devastation to the area. Because of this, Roy is concerned about his family’s well-being.” Ruben Amaro Jr. said through a statement.

This leave decision is not the first time for Roy Oswalt. Last year, he also took time off for the same reasons from his old club, the Houston Astros. Roy Oswalt, decided to leave because of his childhood home in Weir, Mississippi was hit by a tornado.

Roy Oswalt had two seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies; his performance is also quite satisfactory. In his first five games, he has recorded a 3.33 ERA (Earned Run Average).
